  • Employee of the Month was horrible.

Surprisingly enough this movie wasn't good at all, cheesy lines, unfunny jokes, the whole shebang. I know it was Dane Cooks first movie as the main guy, but sheesh, he's alot better when he's on stage- Jessican Simpson's tits couldn't even keep me entertained for the full length, my friends and I walked out after about an hour.

The only saving grace was Andy Dick, and he didn't have nearly enough screentime.
My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.

too be honest, I thought it was ok. I expected it to be much more funnier. It was really uber formulaic. The actors (excluding females) kept this movie alive for me.

Like LB said, Andy Dick was extremely hirrarious everytime he got the camera.

    Needs better writers.

This is what my friends and I realized during the movie.

And no one goes to a movie to see Jessica Simpson act, they go for the tits. Why else would they have her tits popping out in every shirt she wears during the trailers?

Sigh, I hope Man of the Year is funny :turned:

Dane Cook is not funny. He tells extravagant stories. There are no jokes. He just makes pop culture references and weird noices. My friends do better to make me laugh then him, because his stories are not believable. He didn't break into anyone's house, he didn't witness someone get hit by a car, he didn't flip a cashew into his mouth off his dick. (Though the whole Car Alarm bit made me chuckle when I heard it the first time.)

I agree Dane Cook is not funny. Quite a bit overrated.

DANE COOK IS NOT FUCKING FUNNY AT ALL!!!!

Yet everyone in my dorm decided it would be totally awesome, and original to all blare the same Dane Cook sketches from that piece of shit CD he made as loud as they can, and all proceed to laugh their asses off.

I guess I just don't see the humor.

i don't have hbo or any special shows, but everytime i did happen to catch dane cook, i thought it was pretty funny.

I guess i'm into that story telling idea, cause thats how i deliever my humor to my friends. it works. the old of way of just saying jokes doesn't appeal to me anymore, cause i've heard it a thousand times. story telling is the only original way to go now. so what is wrong with it being a funny story? even if it might not be true?

But to be to quite honest here. when i saw my first skit of his with a bunch of friends who sees it a lot. they were kind of waiting to laugh and would laughed at stuff that wasn't funny. it's like robots set on JUST LAUGH CAUSE HE SAID SOMETHING MILDLY HUMOROUS. so i was like sitting there with a straight face for a while. when he got into his story more at depth, then i started getting into it, and i was laughing my ass off.

I just saw a trailer of this movie

The guy with the bleached hair is awesome in scrubs tho (don't know if that was the one you were talking about, andy dick.)
Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.

That's just the thing, even his stories are lame. If the guy was going around saying he's a story-teller, I might like him. But he goes around saying he's a comedian. Which implies he tells jokes, which have punchlines, which he doesn't. Therefore, he isnt' a comedian. He tells stories that barely make me crack a smile, yet he's the "most talented comedian" in the U.S.? Bullshit. My dog makes me laugh more than he does.

You said that you don't have HBO or access to a whole lot of comedy, but you really should find an outlet for it. There are so many better comedians out there right now who are geniunely funny and have a point of view.
