Not sure how old you are Exalt, but keep in mind that the cuts in military spending in the past 10 years have all been Republican and not Democrat. We have had a majority Republican leadership in the house and senate for a long time. If you want to blame a party, then it's the GOP. The GOP itself was responsible for the cuts in homeland security and military spending in the past years, so that it could meet the fiscal budget GWB gave them.

Don't blame the Democrats on this crap. As far as the pay scale...if the manager at Mc'd's gets paid more money than the avg. enlisten man, how do you think the President feels when people like Terrel Owens makes more than Bush's yearly salary in one set of down in one game. Odd to look at that in such a perspective.

Not to say that Bush has no income. Bush has stock in KBR, Bechtel and Halliburton...you know them as the companies making a profit off of this war. Halliburton only made a 7.8 billion dollar profit in the last quarter. Cheney and Bush have how much stock? Enough that the dividends are more than you and me will make in a lifetime most likely.

I guess you're Canadian so you can be excused, but with the electoral college, there are a lot of situations where voting just flat-out doesn't matter. If you got a surprise handjob right at 5 pm on presidential election day, and you were a democrat living in Texas, I don't blame you for staying with the handjob and not voting, and then complaining about the president. It's not like your vote would have counted. If your vote counts though, you should definitely do it.
