Oh my bad, I read it as saying that we were complicating the problem. Well it is probably easier to do it that way (though I would have set up the second integral differently because I hate identities) but I guess in this sense it's more complicated. I find calculus liberating.Comment

if you mean what I think you mean about identities, there aren't any in that integral
I would've done it in polar coordinates, but that requires setting it up as a sum of integrals

This is how I'd set it up from a 12th grade calculus perspective (after simplifying, and assuming 12th grade in Canada is the same as in the US)
the double integral is so much more elegant though

Personally I would mark x as a variation of the shaljax theorum and depict on whether the quartox millennium would agree with the properties of the Dibentium Theorum, From the point that I find out the Dibentium Theorum I can easily figure it out, and thus prove, the equation of x is...absolutely nothing at all.Comment
