I'm not a pedophile sympathizer or anything, but I don't think that pouring acid in their eyes or beating them with bats is the right thing to do. These people are highly disturbed and need mental help more than anything.

Then again, I'm sure I would wind up in jail for murder if someone ever molested my daughter or nieces.

Sorry this is off topic but something Im really curious how you other guys feel about this. You know how there are people out there that are all so against the death penalty and they do protests etc? Im curious how those people would really feel if someone did something to someone they love that would normally warrant the death penalty, if they'd still stand strong about no death penalty or what.

This question is often used in discussions about the death penalty as an argument for the death penalty, nonetheless there are people who have forgiven the murderers of their child/family/lover.
You can't really say what you yourself would do in such a situation until it happens to you.

I am not against the death penalty, however I think the death penalty should more be a rare penalty. So only used in extreme cases, not every murder or stuff. Then again, I am perfectly fine without a death penalty too if the sentences are good enough. Which they aren't over here in my opinion. If you can murder someone and the max penalty is 12 years.. that's nothing. (the max penalty here is 18, but you only have to serve 2/3rds which makes it 12. We do have a life sentence but it's rarely actually given)

In America the death penalty is pretty solid. I would feel justice is done when they fry the first black person they can connect to the crime scene. [/sarcasm]
