Yeah but your answer to my question didn't answer the question that you asked those other people. I KNOW counting crows has lame lyrics, and I KNOW the only reason anyone that's not a girl would like them is because its nostalgic. I wanted something new.

president of the usa are awesome. it's pretty weird how much mileage they got out of the total of 5 strings between the guitarist (who plays with only 3) and the bassist (who has 2)

I just thought it was weird that you'd put those bands on your list but not understand why other people's lists didn't make sense to you.

Yeah, one album but there's also the Lon Gisland EP that is equally fantastic.

    EDIT:Thought of a better answer:

"I smell the engine grease and mint, the wind is blending
Under the moan of rotting elm in the silo floor.
Down a hill of pine tree quills, we made our way
to the bottom and the ferns where thick moss grows,
    beside a stream.
Under the rocks are snails and we can fills our pockets
and let them go one by one all day
    in a brand new place."
    -"One by One All Day"

"I belong in the service of the queen,
I belong anywhere but in between.
She's been dying and I've been drinking,
and I am the Rain King."
    -"Rain King"

"Beating a dead horse with fear in your eyes,
accepted a battle with a war in mind.
    So you shoot to kill,
    death just to feel,
    thunder to fear,
    rain to know tears."
    -"This is Control"

"It can happen to you well, I'd love to believe.
but I'm slamming this bottle on this same damned street.
I've melted. I've felt it. It stings worse than pain.
Apathy, exhaustion, it all seems the same, fire away."
-"I'll Take What's In The Box, Monty"

    "I wish you would
    come pick me up,
    take me out,
    fuck me up,
    steal my records.
    Screw all my friends
    behind my back,
with a smile on your face
    and then do it again.
    I wish you would."
    -"Come Pick Me Up"

the only good thing EVER about the bravery is the video for "honest mistake" because it's like an elaborate game of mousetrap, and mousetrap rocks the hizzy.

Why do people like The Bravery? Some dipshit somewhere told me they sounded like Interpol - boy was he wrong. They have this really annoying song called "Honest Mistake" on my MLB 2005 game and I hate it almost as much as Hot Hot Heat's song on there (U Owe I Me an I O U or some such nonsense).

Topic should read...top 10 bands of the month.

Depending on the season, work, drive, new releases...my Top 10 varies daily, weekly and monthly.

I just listed the names of bands that I have listened to for over 10 yrs and still listen to today.
