I've read Fight Club but none of the others. Is there a running theme of meeting God/questioning spirituality (as in the last chapter of Fight Club) in his other books?

I've read Choke and Lullaby (which I've later found out aren't the right places to start) and really didn't think they were that amazing. At some point I'll probably try Survivor.5:gen> man

Survivor's more of an attack on the status of celebrity.
Lullaby is an attack on the media.
They pretty much continue on that path. All of the characters are pretty much nihilists, and many are existentialists. Basically, they're novels about people you'd rarely hear from.

I would read Fight Club, but like you said, I know the movie, so there's no catch to it ... no adventure. Just a review. I know I've said it before, but I loved reading Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. I didn't like the Da Vinci Code, but because of that book, that's why I read Angels and Demons which was alot better. Probably cause there isn't that huge hype around it. Was an interesting story.DELETED

You can read it at: http://www.chuckpalahniuk.net/books/haunted/guts.php
But, be warned....it's pretty fucking unbearable the first time you read it. At the same time though, I couldn't help but chuckle at other times (which is really messed up, because the story should not be funny at all).Ferengi Rule of Acquisition #98: Every man has his price.

i like them all, but 'stranger than fiction' is the book that impressed me most. mainstream life is boring life.
if you want to start, real lullaby, invisible monsters or fight club. or anything else, it doesnt matter, i read and loved them all, recomment me some other books i would enjoy.
