  • Got a Wii? Look inside.

I got a Wii and really want Call of Duty 3. But, my friend who has it on PS3 says it's not worth it unless you're playing online multiplayer. His is really fun so I was wondering if anyone here has experience with using their Wii online.

It's somewhat of an investment for me, this is what I would have to use since I don't have a router, so I want to know if Wii online is good/worth it/etc. Discuss.

I don't think CoD3 has multiplayer on the Wii.

EDIT: that thing will probably serve it's purpose if you're only going to have your wii connected to the wireless network. If there's any chance you'll be getting a laptop or having friends over with their laptops it's probably a good idea to invest in a cheap w-lan access point.

Amazon.com says that CoD3 has online capability for Wii. I don't nerd around with LAN parties anymore so I have no reason to buy a router. Think I'll just get that expensive thing.

I personally enjoy the Call of Duty series more on PC, and if you wanted to do that, it might save you money in the long run.

A router wouldn't be a terrible investment (it'd only be probably 60 or so bucks for a LinkSys) and if you got a 360/ps3/laptop you could use it for those as well.

IF the multiplayer was the same from CoD 1 and 2, I would say to buy it on the Wii cause it's not worth it. But, they have this new class-based multiplayer system which is actually quite fun, so I would try to get an online version over the Wii version.

Well my computer sucks and unless I fall into about a thousand dollars I'm not going to be playing any games that post-date 2002 anytime soon.

Since CoD3 apparently does not have online capability, does anyone have any FPS game suggestions for the Wii that has multiplayer online?
