Ok, I am leaving Sydney for London tomorrow. Provided nothing drastic happening, I will be in London on Sunday morning and will stay there for 3 months.

I have never been to London, so I need some information before I go there. I know it's a bit late, since it is only a day before my departure. But anything is better than nothing.

Here are some info: I will be staying in SE1 8YW, most likely I will be working in EC2A 2DA. Those mean nothing to me at the moment.

I am just wondering what should I do about the public transport, what is the weather like at the moment. Does it rain a lot?

SE1 8YW <- that seems to be some sort of Post Code as well.... You have to narrow that down a hell of a lot more if you're gonna find where you stay.

Yes, they're postcodes. (British equivalent to the zip code)
Pretty much all you need after that is the building/house number. Sometimes the street name too.
