      Heart-breaking story about the death of Roger Williamson. He was an F1 driver and his car flipped in 1973 because of a tire malfunction- even though the car is burning, his buddy David Purley (fellow driver) gets out of his car and tries to flip the burning wreck. While he tries to flip the car, the other drivers just keep going around the track, definitely worth looking at. Instead of making idols out of contest winners, America should focus on stories like this.

      My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen.         Ok, now I have to ask.. how the fuck do you keep driving when that happens? Raging fire, all kinds of people on the track, even when the fire department or whoever that was with that hose got there, they kept on driving.. wtf.

                    Wow .. that silenced me .. So much respect for Purley how he does everything he can to help his friend. And so much unbelief for all the people who were standing there not doing anything. Scared to get scratched. There were 4 people standing next to the car, but Purley was the only one trying to get the car back on his weels. If the other 3 would have helped him I'm SURE they could have turned it... Terrible ... shows how weak most people are, and how amazing others can be.

                      Also take in to account that Purley would probably have some protection against the fire in his race outfit and with his gloves and I doubt the marshall had much protection in that sense..
