Back in the early 80's, I used to make up titles for the kind of work i'd do. These days it seems corporations and contractors of all kinds have made up some really technical sounding titles for simple jobs.. Like the garbage man today is a waste management specialist.

Do you have a technical, euphemistic title for a common job?
Do you know some that do? What kind of fancy titles do you know?

I like the tag word "Engineer". I see this more and more lately.

Does one require certicifcation for this type of engineer skill? are there schools to become such an egineer. I wonder if M.I.T. or Brown University offer degree programs for such a title?

Wives can tell there friends they married an Engineer too...just a nice touch.

I was surprised at the title they gave me; Technical Production Administrator.

i work at a movie theater called sunrise cinemas plantation crossroads.

it use to be called Mercedes Cinema 4 (which everyone knows it by still...where i live that is...)

so I would say Oh i work at Mercedes...

(and i would mutter cinema 4 real fast so as they didn't hear it or sounded pretty garbled to them.)
