I go to Herndon High 08, VA . You guys are our rivals haha. :greedy:Originally posted by Facetious View PostI went to South Lakes High in Reston, VA. One time when I was staying with my girlfriend at UVA she agreed to house some debate kids "apda kids" as they were called, and they were some of the worst people I've ever met. They were boring, rude, stupid, and not to mention, nerdy as fuck.Last edited by PrOnEsSim; 04-16-2007, 08:31 PM.

It was interesting to see how the construction there progressed every year when we would go over for track meets, by my senior year (05) we could use bathrooms in the school instead of the really weird locker room ones that didn't have stall doors by design.
They put up a really hardcore trailer setup outside Robinson last year, they call it a "mod". It has multiple classrooms inside, with hallways and a bathroom even, I was pretty surprised.
They keep finding places to develop even in super saturated Fairfax, they cleared out an area near me and put up like 40 houses maybe 20 feet apart on both sides of a street that they were trying to sell for a million a piece. I know a couple went for that, but not sure how many more. It's ridiculous man, I have half a mind to move back to PG after I graduate so I can live like a King in comparison.

Ai, ELHS is a public school. As I was hinting at, although coming from a Private School background (and fairly prestigious at that), I didn't notice a huge change in the intellectual difference between there and kids at the public school. It was less structured, yes, less penis flailing, yes, but kids got their work done and made equal efforts in the way of school work and even more in the extracurricular area. I like the way Public schools work, in that they promote a more well rounded structure that can do anything and go anywhere, and less of a stream-lined 'You're going to an Ivy League' bull-shit deal.Originally posted by Sufficient View PostI have a few friends who went through Horrace Mann ... obviously not around when you went through it. Fancy prep school =) ... kinda like Exeter. Never heard or East Lyme though.
I really enjoyed the public atmosphere a lot more and wouldn't have my kids be anywhere but in a good public school district.... hence why I chose to live in Ct. (seriously, there aren't many other compelling reasons to live in this boring state).

Hayfields a funny placeOriginally posted by D1st0rt View PostRobinson Secondary, Fairfax VA
I heard they redistricted because of problems between rich kids and poor kids. Don't really hear a lot about Hayfield anymore since we got moved from Patriot to Concorde last year
by funny I mean shitty
My sister is six years older than me, and when graduated from hayfield, there were about 1500 kids there. When I graduated (2003), there were about 3500. School was mad overcrowded, and along with reconstruction (no ceilings, wires hanging out everywhere, less lockers)- it was a shitty place to go to school. They built this school called South County like 3 minutes away from where I live, and dumped some of the kids there. Funny thing is when they were re-drawing the lines, the parents of the neighborhoods across the street from South County, only wanted their kids to go there. Obviously that wasn't happening, but they made a big fuss anyway. South County was created after all, to help with the problem of overcrowding.
Here's where it gets good.
South County was finished I think, a year or so ago, almost two years ago. Within 6 months of it being built, the place was already overcrowded- there were at least 20 trailers on the fields to help deal with the amount of kids going there. So what did they do? They pushed some kids back over to Hayfield. My buddy's little brother goes to Hayfield and he says the population is around 4500, almost 5000 kids at Hayfield now. More families have been moving in since South County plans were being drawn up, so even after dumping kids at Hayfield, South County is still pretty full up. Not as many trailers up anymore, but they still have a fuckload of kids.
Too many fucking people here man, too many families being shoved in these townhouse cookie-cutter neighborhoods and too many families hearing whatever bullshit they hear that makes them want to come here. Schools are overcrowded, Roads are overcrowded, rush hour is a bitch, and it's expensive as fuck to live here. Townhouses going for 700-900k around here- townhouses. Why? Because it's close enough to DC so daddy can Metro his ass to work, and far enough away so Mommy can raise her good little suburban kids.
Long post, hope it was worth it chief

I went to Hamilton Central school in New York... I remeber I found out I went to school with Rosstones (old cripple and er) and Sodium20 (old a-s), and spybreak was my brother who went to the same school (Ross didn't believe that spybreak was Eric)... And some kid uploaded Continuum on our school server, but he wouldn't tell me his nick, I dunno why.
Now I'm at Keuka college, and last year I was browsing the forums and some kid came in and was like "You play TW" and I was like "word" and he was like "I used to".... Good story, huh? anyways, I forget his nick but he doesn't play anymore.
