Rolling Ice-Creams

Heya,

Ok, so today I started my first shift rolling and dipping ice-creams at the cinemas.

I used hot water everytime with the roller thingy and still they didn't come out to nice round balls.

Is there any special technique you guys n girls have to doing this?

All advice is much appreciated

How to scoop ice cream:
1) Make sure scooper is clean but not wet. Wet it in the water thing provided and clean it off, then fling dry it
2) Scoop once, only make scoops roughly the same size as the scoop size to make a good circle shape. You can make it slightly bigger but not too much bigger. Only use one scoop. If you start multi-scooping then things will stick and you won't get a nice shape.
3) Put scoop on cone, and before putting on next scoop, make sure you have washed the scooper again before getting next scoop.

You will need good arm strength to scoop properly. You are taking the ice cream from the container, you are NOT 'slowly scraping' it.

Jeansi: Yup too true - it's the cinemas so they don't expect that much :P. The most annoying thing is being on POS and always asking for their film squad card!

Emaho: lol I have no idea what 4 euro/h is in terms of NZD dollar but I get paid $11.25NZD per hour and we are currently @ .70US!

I think I'm going to have to buy my own roller!
