The three older tribes will each be receiving around two additional units.

    The report also claims that Blizzard plans to shut down its original StarCraft servers in order to ensure the success of the sequel.

    As popular as StarCraft was on these shores, it doesn't come close to the enthusiasm the game still enjoys in Asia, where televised, professional matches are held regularly. Blizzard has an event coming up in Korea where they are expected to make a large announcement, so it could very well be that the company has chosen the area where StarCraft is the most popular to announce its sequel.

    As of this writing, Blizzard could not be reached for comment.
    The only thing here that catches me is that Blizzard is expected to make that big announcement in Korea soon ... so, if it's not that, they'll be announcing Diablo 3.

      Saw this on the WoW forums. Not sure what to make of it, I've learned not to trust rumors no matter how legit or reliable they may seem.

          Man I can't get over how there are still tournaments of Starcraft over in Korea. Fucking crazy.
          My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.

              The rumor that the old SC servers will be shut down just doesn't strike me as something they would do.

                Yeah, I don't think so either. Warcraft II is still supported and it didn't exactly drag down the sales of WCIII.

                      What's with all the "wow those crazy Koreans and their starcraft!" it's still insanely popular here. It's not like, uhh... MechWarrior. Nobody plays that. If Koreans loved MechWarrior that'd be strange. Strange but cool. Man I loved MechWarrior.

                      Also I don't find it so hard to believe they'll try to get your money making a new Star Craft. It's sure money. I find it hard to believe that it hasn't been done yet. Now, a new Fallout game coming out. That's a confirmed project and I bet theres a better chance we'll never get to play it than we will never play another Star Craft game.

                      Am I right? Ya!

                          Why do you think Fallout is unlikely? It's Bethesda for crying out loud, they go to stupid lengths for their games.

                              Bethesda is gonna own the shit out of Fallout. High hopes after Oblivion, definitely. They're also making a FPS using the Oblivion engine that should be pretty cool.
