So I was about to say, wtf how can you not guess the second one, but I just found out that the English title is indeed what crven guessed. It's Downfall, or known to me as Der Untergang.

I checked the imdb for english title, I've known it as Undergång, but I figured no way you dutchies ould have swedish title in the movie

So now it's my time to choose some really obscure movies I've once watched and really liked, which is difficult because most (especially obscure) movies I watch on Crv's advice.

Hah, for one movie I wanted to choose, Marsal (Marshal Tito's Spirit), I couldn't even find a picture. It is a must see movie for everyone though imo. :x (Good bye Lenin reminded me a bit of this movie)

That's Western Europe.

Finland, Belgium, Russia, and other smaller cinematic countries generally put out a good movie a decade.

Most of the countries which the people posting most of the movies in this thread are from thereabouts.

First of all I wonder, are you really this thick, or is it some kind of 'cool' thing to act very pro-USA and anti-'every country with an actual culture' these days without being funny while doing it?

Anyway I usually prefer movies that are an unique form of art and/or display a culture over the same Hollywood concept over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over (you get my drift?). After you've seen one Hollywood movie you've seen them all. The Hollywood-concept is too vast.
Although without a doubt, the most movies I've seen have been Hollywoodmovies, I hardly rate any of them highly (only those who do not try to be serious). Those Hollywoodmovies which try to be serious are almost always terrible movies, Hollywood simply isn't able to get in touch with reality, and can't get anywhere close near displaying realistic human characters and behaviour (it doesn't fit in with the need for ridiculous out-of-this-world heros in Hollywood-movies). Like when Hollywood decides to tackle a serious subject like racism it just ends up in one of the worst movies ever, Crash.
Then again Crash definately is in my top 10 of unintentionally funny movies (if I had such a list that is). The number one spot in that list would undoubtely go to The Day After Tomorrow. I still refuse to believe they weren't trying to make a comedy with this movie, it HAS to be a comedy, ridiculous heroism at it's best.

Nope, we actually just use the original German title, but that's just us Dutchies.
