What annoys you most about your culture?

My problem with our culture is people with cookie-cutter political views that precisely mirror what Fox News says, yet still think they are independent thinkers. Likewise, I don't like people from the left that do the same thing, although lameass hippie ideology doesn't have a great chance at actually getting any influence in this country so I'm less threatened by it.

1: The above statement minus the last part. Far left politics in Canada are taking a bite out of Moderate-Centrist voters. I do find the culture war and American style politics to be less tasteful, for now because the latter is having a greater impact on Canada and the world.

2: Youth, and youth culture.

3: People who live in this country who use their religion, their rights and everything under the Sun to promote hatred, bigotry, stupidity and violence. And those who tolerate it in the name of political correctness and multiculturalism. (wiki Khadr family for example).

Edit: hell, while I'm at it, Shreveport was the home of Standard Oil for quite some time - until hasty government regulations wrecked the oil industry and fucked my city over. And now, it's a booming casino city, Pure Hatred comes here to gamble - yet the government insists on cutting into the casinos via regulation. What a shame.

Yes because having one guy control the entire supply of oil within the United States is a GREAT idea.

This is probably as much if not more of a generation issue than it is a cultural issue but I'll vent anyways. People who speak too loud on their cell phones and I have no choice but to overhear their senseless drivel I couldn't care less about. What makes it even worse is more often than not when it's someone around my age or younger on their cell phone, they're talking about the dumbest things ever and it's the most pointless phone call. Can we get a little less of your privacy in our public?
