This is going abit off topic, but I feel the need to defend Hirluin. Hirluin was recruited into Staff because I felt we needed somebody extra in the Oceanic timezone, hence I pushed for his hiring. Prior to Staff, Hirluin has worked hard on Radio (which he continues to do so), and he is showing his hard work ethic in Staff as well. He is also participating in running the Event Coordination Team.

Hirluin reminds me of myself when I started Staff many moons ago. He is very relaxed, carefree and trying to fit in. So, I'd give him a chance, because he is already proving to be an asset to Trench Wars Staff.

But Gal has a point also there are alot of people that can become a good staffer and are active enough for it. If you got banned or warned in the past your chance to become one drops to like 10% (I think).

I am sure PH has been banned/warned..

And I wasn't really trying to pick on Hirluin alone, just the overall staff recruitment policies in the last couple of years.

If I could turn in my 12-18k hours of usage/chat/afk would probably use it for something usefull but then again those hours got me off the street doing drugs and enough bad things

I would not trade in the hours, SS has been a form of escapism and stress relief for me. I already have ‘put in the time’ in forming a family, career, and have the things in life that I set as my goals when I was younger. This allows me the luxury of choice for my free time.

Does it not make more sense that an older person who has busted their ass their entire life deserves the freedom of this choice as opposed to a younger person who still needs to build themselves that luxury?
