  • Help with Philosophy

    I'm taking Philosophy 102 as a math credit, and I'm stuck on a proof. Any help would be appreciated.

    (F->G)->H :. F->(G->H)

    I'm not really sure how I'm going to get F out of the left conditional with G, while also creating a conditional between G and H.

    I'm pretty sure that I need to assume F, but my friend down the hall and I cannot figure this out for the life of us.

    Again, thanks for any help.

    If (F->G)->H and F->(G->H), you subtract the H and multiply the G then divide the F to only come to the conclusion that Jesus was abducted by Alienz!

      Are you allowed to use a truth table as a form of proof? That's what I usually do, and my teachers didn't mind.

        Ok.. im not exactly sure how you would relate this back to letters but I had a problem like this not too long ago in trenchwars....

        (4->5)->4 :. 5->(4->5)

        To get 5 out with the conditional of 4.. you just have to change a few of the intrevals.. Let me explain.

        (Kthx->Izor)->Rly_Dumb:.Racka->(4-v5thunder).

        This proves that quicksand is the first squad to go undefeated in TWL while winning every game 4v5 you see.. I hope this helped.
