HAHAHAHA, i just read wwe.com and i've never heard the phrase 'Presumed dead' crammed into an article so many times. I'm pretty sure if he wasn't 'presumed' anymore they'd confirm one way or the other. Now I didn't see the explosion, but it looks awful big, so saying he got badly burned but survived seems pretty weak and lame, at least the rattlesnake did get hit by a car...with rikishi in it? give me a break.

1.) That was bloody hilarious when Rikishi was shown to be the attacker. Not the fact that it was him, because that was retarded, but the ass whipping he got when Austin came back. Just hilarious.

2.) The Katy (Katie, Katey, etc*) Vick story line .... I remember reading this big ass history book of the WWE/WWF from the beginning to around 2004. It was a very interesting read because the author's sarcastic humour regarding the bad storylines and the like. When he came to this part, it was a very good read. Vince thought that this segment was the funnest thing he ever thought up in his whole life, no joke. Just thinking about it still makes me laugh.

WWE has been on the decline since the rise of UFC/Pride FC, and the other independent MMA Fighting productions springing up lately. People want to see real hits, not fake stuff anymore. Even with the new rival company to the WWE, TNA Wrestling, they seem to have had a lot more competition since the WCW/ECW wars of yore.

I'm so glad I don't decide whether or not I like watching wrestling on the opinions of those who criticize it, especially when I consider how much I usually value the opinions of those particular people in most other situations.

So far in this thread, was people like Nickname versus people like Kthx and Megaman89. If wrestling is written for third graders, it's odd that two of the people criticizing it in this thread actually ACT like third graders. With those two as stellar examples compared to Nickname and myself, two members of this community who are among the least likely to be accused of being immature, that sort of goes against the stereotype you presented there.

Ah I assumed that you were at least somewhat referring to me given that I probably have the highest post count on these forums re: wrestling being stupid. Anyway, while I do agree that on the tiny scale of this thread, you are right, but in the significantly bigger scale of everyone I've met in my entire life, the ONLY place I've met people that like (professional) wrestling that aren't bigoted, uneducated fools is on these forums, and even here there's only like three of you.

I agree with your argument that WWE fans might be a bit, to put it blunt, dumber than your average joes.

However, this could be applied to most sports fans aswell. Those I meet that are really fans of a certain sport also seem a bit less bright than your average joe, just not in the same degree.

When I am in England staying with friends and I catch it on I like to watch it, just because sometimes it's so obviously fake it's funny. I don't really follow it or read wwe.com or whatever, but when I do catch it I like to watch it.
