    widely read, widely popular author.
new to me, however. so if you're similarly in the dark regarding his work, it comes highly reccomended. i read two of his books in a 4 day period whilst on vacation in north carolina

(the white water rafting was great, btw, eph..not only was the river controlled by a dam, there was a terrential downpour right before we went and it rose about a foot. took it from class 2-3 to 3-4...very enjoyable)

I read Skinny Legs and All on and off over the course of a week at work, and on Friday I was ten pages from finishing when I left work, but forgot to bring the book home. I disliked the book (with the exception that maybe every 30 pages there was a good little quip) from the beginning, but I was reading it to see if maybe there was a fucking point. After a weekend, I just did not care whatsoever about the bean can, stick, sock, or whatever the fuck other weird objects, or anything else that was going on in that book.

What's weird is it seems like it would be my kind of thing, but it's really just not.
