It's sort of like twitter meets a p2p service.

you have a profile (http://pownce.com/subspacer/)

but also a downloadable, optional client that lets you update yr profile without being on the website. you can also send files to friends, etc

there's alot of criticism though... like, you can't upload big files, you gotta pay $20/yr just to get a file size limit of 100mb
