Wireless Downloads:Quality Lost

Is there any quality lost when downloading music wireless? i thought i remembered hearing something a few years ago about that but can't remember, and it's taking too much effort searching for it in google. but compared to the mp3s i had from a broadband, these definatly sound more mono toned and the volume is more dull. my roomate says it shouldnt be because thats not how the internet works, but any better understanding is much apreciated.

There's no difference. Everything is digital, 1s and 0s, video, music, voice, images ect... Your computer checks files for data integrity. Just think of Wifi vs. Wired as a different medium, same end result.

Word.... just check the bitrate of the mp3 before downloading (The higher the better quality) and check your speakers and what not.



For example, my sweet AIWA 3CD changer with two tape decks and shit is what I use with my computer through the RCA input jacks. But, since I've had it since Christmas in like 8th grade it's taken quite a beating, especially being halled to school and back every semester for the last 3 years. Anyways, the point is I noticed the quality sucking recently and found out that the wires that connect the speakers to the system have pretty much shit the bed. Long, awesome story short: I need to buy a new CD player so I can play music better. So check the bitrate and check the source your sound (try using headphones or another set of speakers) Hell, maybe even the soundcard.

To not only answer no, but to actually explain the quality differences in mp3s... wow. Don't usually get answers like that to, uhh, "newbish" questions on these forms. heh, well thanks for answering my newb question, I really haven't put any effort into understanding technology and I of course appreciate the knowledge from you who are very adament about that, plus, it's sexy being explained complicated stuff by intelligent men. :wub:
they must just be lower bitrate which sucks because i was expanding my violent femmes and captain beefheart archives.
My RCA to computer jack cords are new because i spent last weekend figuring out how to hook everything up into my receiver which is absolutely the best receiver ever made, even as being a 1975 radio shack Realistic and my speakers are also the very best home stereo speakers Optimus 18".

If you are streaming MP3s wirelessly, it still may lose some quality.
