it's probably safe to assume that quite a few people were injured...but was anyone killed? i watched on the news this morning that around 25% of the major bridges in america are rated in the same condition as that bridge was. including the bridge in kansas city (where i live) that crosses the missouri river. awesome.
since it was rush hour and safe to assume some of the motorists were on their cell phones...can you imagine what those conversations would be like?

still don't know what caused it, although they say the inspections showed that it was in need of repair, although i can say from experience that everything gets prioritized and only so many slots are available. It's hard to pick what to fix and when, so I don't necessarily blame the bridge inspectors..fffffffff_____
