I'll use a simple example, a homeless person who has no goals for the future and is barely surviving day to day, they are probably very miserable for most of their day, but when someone gives them a quarter, dollar, etc., for that brink moment, they become happy because they are closer to getting their food...or 40...or crack. But, point being, they are happy for that moment.
So, I am all of those (minus the vegetable). I do have big goals/ambitions...I guess you'd call them dreams. In that case, I do dream big about my future and take the necessary action to achieve it. I would call myself an optimist because I believe in the best of people, maybe I am ingenous but I like to believe all people have good. I am a realist because I know all people have the potential of achieving what they put their mind to, although some will have more difficulties than others, and some will face more obstacles, nothing is impossible. Like Gangstarr said, we all run the same race, but everyone at a different pace. I can be a pessmist when you catch me in the wrong mood, or when I have low life-condition. I could be an asshole. And, there are times when I demonstrate paranoia because I feel unsafe in the environment that I am in, I feel a lot of hostility and have that adrenaline pumping in my body.
Well...I rambled on enough. But to conclude, I believe that although people may be catagorized as having a certain personality trait (optimist, pessimist, realist, etc), they are not 100% that...so what's the point? We have a battle within ourselves to try to be the best we can, try to be as consistent as we can, but nothing is categorical....we're only human.
