Halo Triple (Spoiler Discussion)

So, I just beat it on Normal by myself. I'll be looking to do Legendary with my lil brother tomorrow to finish up the Single Play achievements. But, I'm just gonna cut to the chase, who here who has beaten it, what do you think with how it ended?

I liked it a lot. The game as a whole was just amazing and overall satisfying, way better than Halo 2. I feel it lived up to this hype that I thought was impossible to match.

Some moments near the end game that really got me were:

1.) Chief and Arbiter being helped by the Flood on the attack on Truth.

2.) Rescuing Cortana and having the place go down around as you try to leave fighting off waves of Flood. I had the song "All Along the Watchtower" from Battlestar Galactica playing when I did that stage, I thought it fit.

3.) Sarge giving you the Spartan Laser to take out Guilty Spark.

4.) The balls to the wall Warthog escape at the end, just sick, hollywood blockbuster movie status.

the game itself was truly awesome, but the ending wasnt what i was expecting, what with the ad campaign talking about the chief arming his grenade on earth n stuff, giving hope to the people. was bungie just wastig money at that point creating them?

favourite part in the game was taking down the 2 scarabs at once while tryin to get to Truth

also, if you finish the game on legendary (17 hours well spent), watch till the end of the movie, watch the next one, then your gifted with another vid, no indication to where the chief is goin, but definately sets us up for a Halo 4

Wtf theres a cinematic for legendary!!? must waste life hours now...

And aside from that, how dare you play custom tracks on your first run through.

Now on topic, I found the campaign less engrossing story wise as if it were forced on rather than seamlessly flowing as did the original Halo. 343 spit out the fat chunks on humanity's roots as the forerunner, and the conversations were more tacked on than anything less, especially the confrontation with Cortana and the fact that the solution to all problems seems to involve blowing something up which was carried through once each in the previous halos and now in halo3; it seemed Bungie meant to up the ante and push for 2 major explosions.

The Cortana and Gravemind flashes were a bit OD.

The game play was pretty much nailed. The forge and other multilayer options are set to make this memorable, I do hope they don't milk this franchise into halo 4. What I do expect however is DLC content, with the pelican and seraph being on the list.
