  • A Good DVD/CD-RW Drive

    Can anyone reccomend a good DVD/CD-RW drive thats below $150?

    I got one suggestion: Plextor, any others?

    Honestly, that technology has been around so long, even cheap drives should good.

    Depends on what you want to use it for though... anything serious? Or just games and the occasional burning of mp3s..? If nothing too serious, go with whatever the best deal is. With that in mind, you can find them anywhere, but I usually buy from tigerdirect.

      This might be really stupid but, DVD-RW drives can do CD-RW too right?

        You are right. So if you get a DVD burner... it will work on CDs too.

            u want dual layer? u want lightscribe? 150 is quite a bit to spend on a dvd-rw lol

                Don't be ripping yourself off. You should be getting 2 for under $100 that will work perfectly fine for what you wanna do.

                  Am I confused? I thought I saw a price of between 45 and 70 dollars for the drive he wants. Not 100 or 150... ? If it is between 45 and 70- good deal. If it's 150- bad deal.
