ron paul has a snowball's chance now, but at this rate, his message is going to become fairly widespread, and if he gets through primaries, i can see him having a decent shot.
i have every issue of time from 1975 to 1994 (found 'em in the attic), along with a bunch of other political magazines and such, and they give me hope - i mean, you don't think about it now, but people said the same thing about Carter and Nixon as they are saying about Paul now, though they also had more national exposure and the support of their bases.
i live in louisiana, where everyone over the age of 40 votes republican, and i'm seeing ron paul bumper stickers on hippie vans as well as bmw's. cruising through the rich suburbs and gated communities, i see alot of Paul yardsigns as well.
hell, even my friends who are very leftist, some radical, are voting for paul.. they see him as an opportunity to get government out of the pocket of corporations, a view i also support but for a different reason - corporatism is not capitalism and not in any way beneficial to anyone but the companies.Leave a comment:
