I wouldn't worry to much about that if I was you. It takes quite a while to ban something and even if it would get banned then I doubt it will be realy hard to get seeing as stuff like XTC and coke arn't hard to get either

My one long experience with shrooms steered me away from ever doing shrooms ever again, watch the amount and type you do, now that I think of it I'd rather have done them in Amsterdam that way I know how much I'd be taking and the type as well, nothing like taking a ridiculously large amount of shrooms that are very, very potent.

You should only do shrooms if you are comfortable enough on your surrounding so that you are sure that you won't trip balls, and get a horrible effect.

yeah, I'm about 120% more comfortable in my skin now I kicked my drug habit and finished high school and ended up in College, I think I know what I want to do and school will help me get there. I've done pretty fucking well in two years since I was smoking 3-5 times a day and sitting at home with not even a high school education.

If you know who you are then you should be fine, most of the times lol. I'm seriously opposed to teenagers doing shrooms though.

I'm 22 and in a full time job, teenage shroom consumption is the least of my concerns.

I know what I'm getting myself into, so I don't fear the shrooms, but I do know that it isn't failsafe.

I never really take drugs, but since I'm dutch it's hard not to have a bunch of friends who've tried out all kinds of shit..
With drugs like shrooms the effects depends on how responsible/comfortable you are. If you're smart you take the amount that's suggested, you do it in a familiar/save environment, for instance your living room, some place that can't surprise you. Surprises and new situations apparantly can fuck you up, like don't go outside to a busy road. Also smart to have one friend around who isn't taking shrooms, just in case. Then again my knowledge is based on hear-say, but it sounds somewhat logical. People who jumped off from bridges after taking shrooms, shouldn't have been outside in the first place, I don't feel sorry for these idiots.
Idiotic people also die because of their unsafe idiotic way of driving, does that mean cars should be banned? Most drugs are quite harmless, it's just that there's a lot of irresponsible stupid people.
Personally I'm perfectly satisfied with my conscious state-of-mind, and if I want to switch my mind off a bit and stop the endless stream of thoughts, I just drink and go out, or go sporting(cycling).. Sporting actually works best for me, that's the only time I really am completely fixated on what I'm doing at that moment and can't be bothered with w/e else is going on in my life. :P

First of all. Let me strongly advice not to take mushrooms while on vacation here. You're talking about a 6 hour trip, and the idea may sound fun, but trust me, it's not fun to do in public (unless you're very extravert or experianced). And it's definiatly not fun to do in a hotel room. (you'll make noise = complaints = trouble <> good on shrooms). Then again, I'm just not into drugs (besides alcohol). But i must say, i do fcuking love! those beams in my house ever since the shrooms =) ..my beams..

Second. I regret bringing it up. There is much more to do/see. Take a walk thrue the "jordaan" area. Goto the sex museum. Or sit in a canal boat thrue the canals. Go drink a beer and a "jenever" (the dutch whiskey). You must, must, eat "kroket". It's a mystery-meatball, but damn it's good... Or get in a pub and talk to those freaky deaky dutch. Go eat sushi at the only michelin-star rated japanese restaurant of europe (and take some cash with you) or just order sushi/pizza in the Vondel park. Lots of interesting people there (kinda like central park/ woodstock but then 24/7).

Well the story goes as following:
This british guy took shrooms. (and needless to say the brit was drunk and stoned). After a little bit, he didn't notice any effect. So he ate another package. (1 package is good enough for 2 to 3 people).
A little after that he completely freaked out, locked his hotelroom door and started throwing -all- the furniture out of the window. (hence the redecorate). The bed, the closet, everything. His room was located on the Dam-square (centre of the centre), so he had quite the audience. Then he started cutting himself with a knife.. hence they had to take them out in a straight-jacket.

The more I find out about Amsterdam, the more I realize that a long weekend will far from being enough to experience it all. It would even be fun to watch Ajax.

However, I have to admit that cannabis is the main reason for why I am going. I've smoked for around 4 years without really tasting anything that can be considered good.
