No i'm bitching about a never-ending infraction for a rule I don't believe I violated. ...aside from the fact most of these rules are broke several times everyday. To be more precise, I'm looking for a revision of these rules to be more realistic and fairly administered. K?

What else could you have meant? you called me a hypocrite when the subject is clearly about copyright material. And I know you search through this forum for topics about me, it's weird and childish.

Warez is a blanket term used to describe any and all sharing of copyright work. You still broke rule 15, and since no one took the time or thought it was worth adding to the infraction system (or knows how to) the infraction stands, rule 4 and 15 are similar in intent and also would carry the same number of infraction points.

It was a forum... The topics within it had links just like this forum has links to sites like YouTube & Google. It's no different from this forum's thread of Youtube links.

Are you familiar with tv-links? It's a website in the same vein as what you posted. It has TV shows as well as full movies which you can view in their entirety. This site isn't up anymore. Why you ask? It was taken down by the UK Government for it being illegal.

It's an illegal website and we don't deal with that here, simple as that. We don't front the bill for the server, and we don't wanna jeopardize anything by posting links to forums or anywhere with such illegal content.

You have a warning for that ... a warning. You weren't banned, you're still here. And since you know not to post stuff like that, it doesn't matter how long that warning is there, doesn't it? Cause you won't do anything that dumb, I don't think.

Youtube and Google video both remove material not allowed under their TOS, much like our forum rules (both upon request and at their own pleasure). The difference is the material that site linked too was copyright material, not allowed on either service or on this forum. Simply preforming an aggregate function is also not a defense. Torrent trackers as an example do not host the material but they allow a "gateway" for others to obtain that material. I disagree with that explanation legally to justify attacking torrent trackers through the judicial system but it's where US law is concerning the technology.

Look, the primal situation of this forum doesn't change--this isn't public property, it's a forum that's maintained and run under a certain list of rules. As it's been stated before, you don't make the rules, nor are you covered under any overarching set of nationally-specific rules.

If you are deemed to break said rules, you get warnings (or a warning). If you choose to ignore the warnings, you risk being banned. It's not that hard to abide by, and lots of members before you have lived quite nicely by this set of rules.

Whether you know it or not, every infraction handed out by any staff member of these boards is recorded and publicly available to all other mods--there's a checks and balances system that has been in place for years, and so far I'd say it works pretty efficiently.

So please, go ahead and cry foul that your rights are being trod upon. There's no one here looking worse than yourself.

The rules are perfectly fine. If your mind wasn't consistently 3/4 baked, then you'd have a half of a brain to read and interpret things correctly. You think that there's some loophole here that you can claim ignorance? Bullshit. It says PLAINLY:

No Warez/Serials/Cracks/Hax0ring/SS Cheats/etc, including links. This includes discussions of bittorrent/DC or other file sharing programs.

As it's been stated before, "warez" can include ripped movies, and "including links" covers torrents. I have no idea what you think you're fighting for, you were obviously in the wrong and now you're trying to throw on a Che t-shirt and act like a revolutionary. Just stop being a douche.

EDIT: Look, man. No one's trying to cuff you or sue you. We're just saying that that stuff isn't tolerated on these private boards. Other people seem to understand the rules, and people DO get warnings explaining when they've crossed the line.
