It is the federal government that most divides us by race, class, religion, and gender. Through its taxes, restrictive regulations, corporate subsidies, racial set-asides, and welfare programs, government plays far too large a role in determining who succeeds and who fails. Government "benevolence" crowds out genuine goodwill by institutionalizing group thinking, thus making each group suspicious that others are receiving more of the government loot. This leads to resentment and hostility among us.

Racism is simply an ugly form of collectivism, the mindset that views humans strictly as members of groups rather than as individuals. Racists believe that all individuals who share superficial physical characteristics are alike: as collectivists, racists think only in terms of groups. By encouraging Americans to adopt a group mentality, the advocates of so-called "diversity" actually perpetuate racism.

The true antidote to racism is liberty. Liberty means having a limited, constitutional government devoted to the protection of individual rights rather than group claims. Liberty means free-market capitalism, which rewards individual achievement and competence - not skin color, gender, or ethnicity.

In a free society, every citizen gains a sense of himself as an individual, rather than developing a group or victim mentality. This leads to a sense of individual responsibility and personal pride, making skin color irrelevant. Racism will endure until we stop thinking in terms of groups and begin thinking in terms of individual liberty.

For over a decade, I have publicly taken moral responsibility for not paying closer attention to what went out under my name.

Looks like he's taking things seriously.

Ron Paul gave his name for endorsement on a newsletter back in the day. Like, he didn't write the newsletter, he just said "ok, i like what you are talking about", so the newsletter then printed like, "ron paul agrees with this!" at the bottom of their issues,

and then they started publishing all these hardcore racist articles. ron paul withdrew his support, but it was too late - the mainstream media had already found some useless, nonsalient piece of information to use.

and yeah, ron paul is going to lose.

that's why I'm voting fred thompson - that, and the President of the USA in Atlas Shrugged was named 'thompson', and when combined with the recent discovery of an efficient way to extract oil from shale (another major plot element from Atlas Shrugged), i figure voting for Fred will ultimately lead to the obliteration of America, and the opportunity to recreate ourselves into a perfect society.

because ron paul also voted "pro child pornography" when he voted against H.R. 2257.. or, at least, you could accuse him of that. Rotten.com wrote a great piece on that bill and why it was actually a blow to civil liberties and privacy... but if you were feeling in a mood to smear someone, "pro child pornography" sounds better than "anti fascism"

Right, but anyone using anti-fascism would have to explain why after having congress read the bill twice before unanimously passing it (besides RP), they all found it a good idea.

I think his objection to the SAFE Act of 2007 was that it requires Internet Service Providers to report any information about the illegal transfer of obscene (already illegal) material, because it puts the burden on ISPs. It does not require anyone with a privately owned network to report or moderate their network for such material or information. ISPs also have the technology, services and protocols in place to deal with such things, therefore it does not put undue pressure or burden on them or ultimately change their business processes. If big business is going to force ISPs to track down, disconnect and give over the information on P2P file sharers then I see no reason why ISPs can not do the same for a much more important and real problem.

Edit: There's this idea that without something like this made law that ISPs would already be putting forward the information on people transferring and producing kiddie porn. I think the problem is that business is indifferent to it, no matter what statements they make they are still capitalist. Their mission is to get every dollar there is out there without moral reservation.
If that means turning a blind eye to such things then so be it. But when it starts to cost them money (300,000 fine) we as a society can keep them in their place, providing the services we need and want while still raping us like all the telecos out there. But these pedos will be outside of the system and outside of civil society where they can not hurt people or break the law.

Well if Huckabee, Thompson, or Edwards don't become President then I'll say I told you so to the world. Of course if one of them wins we won't have anything to worry about.
