Is Jin really dead though? Are you saying the "flash forward" was really just a flashback of Jin doing his old job? What makes you think that? The date on the tombstone also says Sept 22, 2004, the date when the plane crashed.

Jin is dead. It sucks, I know. He definitely was one of my favorites.

There were two different sequences in this one. A flash back and a flash forward that were happening concurrently to throw off the viewer.

Flashback: Jin was working for Sun's dad as you can remember. This one job he did was to goto the hospital and deliver a Panda to this lady who just had a baby. She was the daughter of the head of another company. His objective was to gain relations between Paik Industries and the other corporation.

If that's not proof enough that it's in the past; Jin told the nurse that "I just got married 2 months ago." when asked about having a child of his own.

Flashforward: Sun was having the child. After she got the epidural, she was hysterically looking for Jin, because she missed him, but was dead. We don't know how, exactly. Hurley came by to visit Sun, but that's it. Sun and Hurley visited Jin's gravesite.

        hmm never thought of that.
I was thinking that he is still alive, but has to pretend (for some reason) to be dead. I'm still not excluding this, but what you wrote does make sence yeah.

It was the Chinese Ambassador and for expanding the Paik Industries into China.

But yeah, it was flashforwards and backs through each other to throw each other off.

The 2004 date probably has to do with the whole story of 8 survivors and oceanic 6. I mean, if they gave out the real date the story would not be correct?

Official Survivors (The "6"): Jack, Kate, Sayid, Hurley, Sun, Aaron
              Unofficial Survivors: Ben, Walt
              Assumed Dead: Claire
Confirmed Dead: Jin, Charlie, Rousseau, Carl
Currently on Boat: Michael, Sayid, Desmond
Updated the tally after I just watched the last episode. Unfortunately, we must wait until the end of April to get to the "shit hitting the fan" part. But, we got a good setup so far.

              - Whitmore planted the airplane to call of the search.
              - Mr. Friendly (Tom) is gay.
              - Certain Others are able to leave the island for short stints.
              - The Island won't allow you to die, until your mission is complete.
              - Mr. Friendly came back to the island and was killed by Sawyer sometime after he sent Michael to his mission.
              - Aaron is officially one of the "Oceanic Six" as evidenced by the promo for the next episode.
              - Looks like Ben wanted Alex, Carl, and Rosseau dead for some reason.
              - Is Locke right?
              - Ben is still made of awesome.

I think Ben just wanted Rosseau and Carl dead. They seemed to be shooting pretty accurate.

Cant trust Ben, Cant trust the people on the boat. I hope Sayid takes over the boat, gets everyone else and BAM.

I am thinking, why they are lying could be because they don't want anyone, including Whitmore to find out about the Island and the reason why only 6 survive might have to do with that some people cant leave the Island (what happened with Desmond).

I'm not sure why he'd want to do this in this way. That leaves Alex as not only a witness, but as someone to come back and have Ben's privileges revoked.... that is if she makes it out alive.

nah, Ben told the others to wait outside camp until Alex came along and to take care of anyone with her. Ben needs to stay where he is, otherwise he would have left by now. Carl has always been a nuisance to him, and Rosseau reminds Alex that Ben is in fact not his real father.

The only two people who could have gunned Rosseau and Carl down are the 'others' or the people on the boat and my moneys on the 'others'. Ben doesn't want Alex dead, he's completely nuts but he still believes she is his child.

I trust Ben knows what he's doing, but it's always interesting to see how much he digs himself into the hole to get back out again.

yeah, he's staying at camp Locke for some reason but killing Carl and Rosseau isn't going to win you brownie points with old crazy Locke. I'm beginning to realize I loved this show for the first two seasons and basically held my tongue during the third season. The show was so fresh and full of endless possibilities, I'm happy that the islands become almost like a central character but is it too little too late?

edit: Fuck it, I'm gonna keep watching anyways. The sad part is that we've all invested too much time and thought into the show just to bail now. It's funny that even people who watch the show religiously realize how full of shit it is sometimes.

I think the others at that place will keep Alex there and it will be a long time before Ben shows his face there, so I doubt Ben will get in lots of trouble over this. Maybe with Alex later on, but I doubt Alex will escape for now.

Interesting returning episode, at least we know why Sayid is Bens hitman and that Ben is still a manipulative sob.
