I didn't get a chance to see it when it came out, but now that it is on dvd I must say wow. I am overly happy with this movie and I'm glad I saw it.

Awesome movie. It's so beautifully shot.

Kinda hard to explain, you just have to watch it and be hypnotized by the screen.

It is a musical where pretty much every song is from The Beatles, it is kind of slow at first, but gets really fucking trippy and there is a big come down at the end (sort of like tripping, which I advise you should do to watch this movie sometime, but watch sober or high as well. You'll still enjoy it) and yes it is a love story but it also portrays the hardships that people had to go thru in the 60s. It also portrays jimi hendrix and janis joplin. If you are a beatles fan, this is a must-see (cause u will notice every fucking clever reference they make). There is cameo appearances by joe cocker, eddie izzard, selma hayek and bono.

All I can say is just go see it. You will like it.

I saw it in theaters with some of my college friends. Nearly fell asleep. Waste of 10 bucks.

i'd rank it a good 7.5/10 -- i thought some parts were a bit campy and other parts were out of place, and the story wasn't always followed through.

Visually though, it was stunning -- beautiful.

                        There was a story?

Really though, it's a very psychedelic experience.

actually yes there was a story.

It was a love story between Jude and Lucy, while explaining the problems that America faced during the 1960s (war, drugs, bad haircuts)

I really liked it. I loved the "I want you" scene where he is being signed up for the military and the other scene with the nurses. Really cool.

The only thing that turned me off a bit was the weird circus tent scene. Cool for a little bit but it lasted too long imo.

                            Overall a very good movie.

ive watched it plenty now , my girls a big fan... i liked the movie
although I feel as though I would much rather watch something based on beatles songs as well as the group the beatles. rather then listen to their songs and watching a movie that was based soley on those songs. however I would like to say that most of the songs done were very well done and their own personal touch on the songs ( way they were sung and junk ) were better then some of the original beatles tunes themselves
