Finally got around to seeing Persepolis and loved it. Best animated movie I've seen in a long time.
Also had a great time watching Shoot 'Em Up mostly thanks to Paul Giamatti's villain. Really a deep, thought-provoking and multi-layered movie :redfaceol
haven't seen it, but I have read it. Good story for a graphic novel.
1. I though Idiocracy was pretty funny. Stupid humor begets stupid laughs. If you don't analyze the intricacies of the plot (which you shouldn't) it's a very quotable movie...LIKE OFFICE SPACE.
well you asked for it, scro
Doctor: Don't worry scrote. There are plenty of 'tards out there living really kick ass lives. My first wife was 'tarded. She's a pilot now.
Pvt. Joe Bowers: Today I step into the shoes of a great man, a man by the name of Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho.
Frito: I can't believe you like money too. We should hang out.
Frito: [Repeated Line] I like money.
Pvt. Joe Bowers: Man, I could really go for a Starbucks, y'know?
Frito: I don't really think we have time for a handjob, Joe.
President Camacho: Shit. I know shit's bad right now, with all that starving bullshit, and the dust storms, and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings. But I got a solution.
South Carolina Representative # 1: That's what you said last time, dipshit!
South Carolina Representative # 2: Yeah, I got a solution, you're a dick! South Carolina, what's up!
Narrator: [Time Masheen starts] We're gonna take you back, to the year 1939 when Charlie Chaplin and his nazi regime enslaved Europe and tried to take over the world...
Narrator: ...But then an even greater force emerged, the U.N.
[pronounced "un"]
Narrator: and the U.N. un-nazied the world - forever.
Officer Collins: [addressing military brass about Rita's background] We did, however have to come to an arrangement with her pimp. A gentleman who goes by the name Upgrayedd. Which he spells thusly, with two D's, as he says, "for a double dose of this pimping".
All were pretty good movies, I thought La vie en Rose dragged on a bit however. Stardust gave me that feel-good fantasy feeling I have when I was kid reading fantasy novels and shit. I am Legend gave me chills that were multiplying. It was electrifying.
Black Knight like Martin fucking Lawrence in the Black Knight?
The one and the same.

In fairness, I never knew/forgot that The Kingdom was the shitty politics-marketed-but-not-political epic that Hollywood churned out last year. Had I been forced to guess I would have said something along the lines of Orlando Bloom-type shitty epic (Kingdom of Heaven). But then again, I wouldn't have blurted out my stupid and baseless guess at work either.
I should have mentioned that he picked it up at Blockbuster, which meant he would've had to have taken a look at the case. And in southern Illinois, apparently "black guy = Martin Lawrence." It's a nasty generalization, I know, but the grand majority of people down here are downright retarded. I'm glad I'm moving my ass back out of here soon.
But you're right, stupid people are everywhere. This place just has a higher concentration than most.
Music and medicine, I'm living in a place where they overlap.
The Prestige: Shouldve seen it earlier, thought it was really good, much better than I had initially expected. Would recommend it to anyone who hasnt seen it.
Deja Vu: Also better than expected (considering I was expecting it to be complerely lackluster), some parts of it couldve been better, but overall I was pleasantly surprised.
Going to see Street Kings today, hope its good.

There is a free preview of Starz this weekend and I got a chance to catch Mystery Men for the first time since I saw it in theaters. It was fucking hilarious. I love it when you get to see a movie again and you finally understand all of the jokes.
William H. Macy has never looked more dashing in a role.
Oh and I picked up the DVD for There Will Be Blood and found out that Paul F. Tompkins makes a cameo in the movie.
