One thing I found that was pretty interesting to do was just to go to the liquor store and just buy a bunch of different tallboys to drink. Now I know what kinds of beer (/countries) to drink and what kinds to stay away from.

coors light/miller light/bud light costing 10 dollars for a case happens maybe once a year and even so you need a mail in rebate for that. that is not a gauge for the price of beer at all. all those beers are fucking rip offs under most circumstances, 12 packs of that swill are up to 10 bucks at most grocery stores. those beers have no flavor whatsoever, compared to natty light which tastes slightly more like dirt but is 40% cheaper. there really isnt much of a difference at all in taste if you put them side by side, youre paying entirely for marketing. the only reason to buy bud/miller/coors light is if youre throwing a party dumb chicks are at because they think natty tastes worse even though it really doesnt. if youre not going to drink any decent beer youve gotta go with yuengling instead of a crappy domestic light.

to say all beer tastes like crap is ridiculous, and a sign that youve either a) hardly ever drank, and as a result, are not really qualified to write several paragraphs arguing with people about drinking or b) havent drank enough types of beers to write several paragraphs arguing about the merits of the taste of beer. its an acquired taste. youre not going to acquire a taste for miller lite because it tastes like a crappier version of sparkling mineral water, but i guarantee you, if you start trying different craft beers and imports (for the most part not the shit you can get at safeway) youll find beers that you find truly delicious.

im not saying theres anything wrong with drinking miller lite, heineken, corona, or other objectively overpriced beers, but youve got to a) acknowledge youre drinking those for the image and marketing and b) not talk shit on beer as a whole because if thats all youve drank you have no idea what youre talking about

Umm.. you should use some of that science to educate yourself on the internal effects of GHB. Basically it is far more hazardous than amphetamines with a much larger range of purity level. Which means its not just harder to determine how large of a dosage, but also retards your body's ability to develop a tolerance or "defense" against it.
Its a gutter drug and should be avoided by anyone who has any respect for their body and mind.. or wishes to live for any considerable amount of time.

Beer is awesome. Not only does it get you fkd up, but it quenches your thirst like no other liquid known to Man. There is a desire that goes beyond its alcoholic properties, its a kindred relationship of unknown origins... If you dont know what I'm talking about, you're either a female or there is something wrong with you..
It does however make some people fat, and its not the calories, its the carbs that get ya.

Oh I just remebered how i once nearly died from drinking a beer after a hard days work. First, I never said I take amphetamines, I was comparing the two in terms of health dangers. FOr you to compare it with alcohol really shows your ignorance on the topic, and is quite irresponsible of you to claim such on this type of forum.
Sure if used with absolute care and maturity you can party with G and not have too many problems... The trouble comes with these kids thinking they are bulletproof and taking these drugs is like being in a candy store... Then when they overdose and are flooding emergency departments it brings alot of heat for the rest of us, responsible freaks.

Oh and scrolling through the vaults of Erowid doesnt necessarily make you "well read" on drugs.

After I started writing a whole bit here to argue the fact alcohol in itself causes loads of deaths every year, not to mention the fact that every one of the fruitcakes that OD'd in that article died in funny circumstances with multiple drugs in the bloodstream or insane amounts of GHB (8 in 3.5 years, o noes, the mortality!) I then actually read the stuff you wrote carefully, and concluded any detailed information is probably wasted on you anyway. The vast majority of alcohol related deaths are indirect through long-term use... Hardly comparible to ghb overdoses. Also, considering the small minority of people who take ghb, 8 deaths in 3 years is a lot... If it included possible deaths and/or physical and mental damage the results would far outweigh that of any other "party drug".
Personal attacks of intellect from someone who claims to be a postgrad of medical chemistry, then goes on to advocate the use of ghb as an alternative to alcohol is just funny.
