There's been many neat stories of asking someone to marriage, like the nerd who reprogrammed his girlfriend's favorite video game to ask her hand in holy matrimony. Then there has been big follies as well where people screwed big time to be creative like balloon guy.

So in relation to the thread, do any of you have any cool, innovative stories of how you (or him) proposed, or anyone you know.

i have a reputation for doing things in a sort of kooky/creative way, so i'm going to have to think of something crazy. toss out some good ideas so i can take notes

I would have to "go on a business trip"

then fly her out, buy tickets to her favorite band, while out there, I wont be able to make it. Then half way through hopefully being allowed on stage to purpose.

It would be cool and unexpected.

I don't really think there's a universally good way to propose to a woman. All of them have different ideas for how they want a guy to propose to them. The important part is a ring that they'll love and the fact that you actually did propose.

When I proposed, it was nothing extravagant, as I knew that she may like it, but it wasn't necessary. The most memorable part of that night, that I wouldn't mind telling my kids in the future, was that her school had their annual naked run...right outside her window.
