It's a fruit that can trick your taste buds. You think you might be eating something sour, but then it turns out sweet. And things that are sweet aren't so tasty anymore. IMHO I think this fruit can change the way people eat very healthy foods that taste bad into something that is delicious. Unfortunately the shit costs money. They sell the fruit 2-2.50 USD per berry, and a grower in florida sells a bag of 30 for 90 USD... If health foods want to look into making their foods big sellers, then they should look into growing these berries to make healthy foods taste friggen awesome and making everyone in the world eat good food from now on. The fruit has been in use since the 8th century and it is indigenous to west africa. Scientists haven't found any bad side effects except the fact that it changes your taste buds for a while.

amazing, although i doubt it will make more ppl eat healthy. I say this because the main reason I don't choose healthy alternatives is that they cost 2x as much on average as junk food. At $3.00 a berry, any food with this in it would be really expensive. Even if it was cheaper, people might still eat too much food, regardless of how good it is for you.

But what neat discovery anyway!

this is pretty amazing for financial gain really, it brings out a whole new industry. Just think what it can do for chefs, bar tenders trying out new flavors and tastes. Mothers don't have to worry about their kids not eating vegetables or food they need to eat to grow up healthy and strong. Think of the impact it will have if it replaces sugar. No longer will people traveling overseas have to be embarrassed or throw up after eating food they don't want to eat (even though its a matter of respect). shit man, this could shake up the food industry altogether if it was commercialized.

if you read they were downing tobasco sauce, goat cheese, beer (which tastes like chocolate), etc...
