depends if you get co-signed with your parents or not, it also depends on whether you're male or female, it also depends on if you finished driving school. I'd get some quotes online but my guess is under $300 if you have a co signer (parents), but if you're going it alone it's gonna cost you over $350 a month.
when i was 17 to be fully insured on my parents new car chrystler concorde it costs me 150 per month, when i got my own car 2006 chevy cobalt lt i had to pay 400 per month by myself. Geico was my first insurance company, they were cheap but thats for a very valid reason, they sux at paying claims. I have AAA now and ive been happy with everything. Also note i had a clean record no accidents or tickets. 400 dollars a month insurance 450 car payment SUX

it's fucking steep, I could have got a car for next year to commute from school to home but I decided to just live at school since in the long run it costs less and I get to sleep in late.
it makes me sick when i think of it, all my heroes could not live with it so i hope you rest in peace cause with us you never did
I am currently like on my moms account or something which already gives me a no claim thingy. I had full insurance (all risk) and I paid like 2000 a year. I am dropping to only insurance for theft and if I hit someone that the other guy gets paid. And that saves me like 1000 Euro. Then again, I have a perfect no claim record and I wasn't planning on hitting anyone any time soon.
Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.
usaa tried to charge me 400$ a month...I called and whined about it and they realized there error, charged me 125$ a month and then charged me 100$ less for the 6 month period as a result
I'm just a middle-aged, middle-eastern camel herdin' man
I got a 2 bedroom cave here in North Afghanistan
Then again, most of us don't have a kid and a wife to feed, money. $
I'm covered under USAA kind of the same way Milosh is. My dad has it for life from the military and I think I have the option of staying with them after he no longer claims me as a dependent.
Definitely threaten to file a lawsuit. Chances are Geico would rather just fix your car for whatever the cost is (< $10,000 I'm guessing) then have to pay out any more than that in a lawsuit. Make sure you get a good lawyer though, not one who advertises on TV. Those are the lawyers that generally aren't getting enough clients without advertising. Get your parents friends to recommend you one.

I think in most situations people would rather pay someone off rather than dragging it out in court and possibly losing twice as much as the person asked for.
it makes me sick when i think of it, all my heroes could not live with it so i hope you rest in peace cause with us you never did
you're probably right, but calling a lawyer isn't always free, and convincing the company that you really will take it to court might not be that easy as well. In all fairness, you'd have to do a pretty good job of bitching them out, and have your lawyer contact them I'd think. If I owned a company, i'd want to avoid litigation, but I'd also think twice before paying off someone who threatens to sue.
well i had to call my g/fs insurance and explain the situation to them, and they finally agreed to cover the car because she was driving it, and otherwise she would have lost her license for 3 months, which is bad business for insurance companies, they would have lost money and a customer
in anycase, i learned my lesson here, insurance companies are pieces of shit, maybe I will try to switch to USAA, considering i was in military im pretty sure they take veterans
i was under the geico military policy, which in all reality geico was founded by military members just like USAA, Government Employee Insurance Corporation
in the end geico sucks still, so does AIG, but it was cheaper insurance
only good thing i can say is that I had an accident hitting a guardrail while driving in heavy snow last year with geico, was 7 grand worth of damage to my front right side of my car, and they fixed it and paid for it no problems, but this new incident just gave me a bad taste for their company

did you have to pay for the guard rail? I just recently learned that we send people a bill in the mail for any part of the roadway they damage. Guardrails are pricey, but god help you if you run into a bridge.

hell no guardrails are alot stronger than my tiburon's body
and even if i did damage it, why would i tell the insurance company? No police report needed if no one saw it and it was a self collision
