I seriously don't see how you all have the time to scour the daily TW General Discussion nonsense, critique three or four accurate news sources, laugh at three or four comedic news sources, read twenty RS Feeds, discover new and unusual music, find five interesting videos on YouTube, write a crappy political essay and post it, go to college, "have a social life", do weed/shrooms, go to a party, masturbate, eat, sleep, take a shower, crap and then have time to use Facebook as a networking tool for your music and ideas. Give me the secret of the internet.

I stopped using facebook when they made two huge mistakes: 1) made it one big clusterfuck mess by adding tons of apps (which btw, store your information, all it takes is a friend to have one, you don't need to have one yourself. Not to put anyone into false alarm, I don't think there's that much private info on facebook.) 2) allowed anyone to join, I'd be cool with college people and military people. Now it's just weird seeing people on there that you don't want to talk to, ever.

they have since gone a small ways to help... like, you can now permantly block an application, meaning you'll stop receiving invites for it. (edit: you can also block all invites from individuals, i.e. the 3 or 4 assholes who add every application)

I hate that every fucking girl I know feels the need to tell each other how cute they look in every picture. Or how much fun they had getting drunk this weekend as if it were different than any weekend in the past.

They all comment on each other's photos, so every time I log on I have to see a bajillion fake compliments flying around. It's like the backstage of a beauty pageant.

I actually like the events part of facebook, for the most part. For example, everyone at my high school put their graduation parties on the events. That was nice because I could just hit "maybe attending" for all of them and they'd still show up on my events. Then I could just log on, see who was having a party that day, and decide which ones I felt like going to. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have gone to any cuz I would have forgot about them all.

I am on facebook like once every 2 weeks to see if I got any messages/notifications or whatever. Then when I feel like it, I add an app. and the next time I come on I delete everything I previously added.

i had a facebook but i stopped using it after they let everyone and their brother on it. also i wasnt enthused about that 'newsfeed' nonsense. before, at least stalkers had to put some effort into it. now its all given to them right on the front page
