once in awhile i get to do a focus group. try and find out if you can sign up with a focus group in your area. I pretty much get free food and something like $20-50 for an hours or two of answering questions or being part of some test.

this is honestly the best thing izor has done. post of the year, dude, just because it's so out of character for him.

also gran why don't you just get an easy job that pays minimum. work at a convenience/grocery store that doesn't get too many visitors. i did that for two years. some days me and a buddy would just fuck around for more than half of it. go mow lawns and do other yard care. you get to be outside, while setting your own rates, while listening to your own music, while being your own boss. go apply at a movie store or a book store or something. the only problem with those stores are that they're the toughest to get a job at since everybody wants them. there are plenty of options out there for you that'll give you relatively easy chances to make money.

I'm a 19 year old college student living in a college town where NO ONE IS HIRING, that's right practically no one (unless you know someone, and I knew some people and I still didn't get a fucking job). The best choice for me was to do work study, but now that shit was fucked up (and to be honest the pay was shit anyways). I sit at home all day everyday doing nothing but smoking pot, and quite frankly I really don't care. I have no aspiration to go get a "real" job just because people feel that I need to be apart of society.

it's hard to stop when you're bored, but it's so worth it. i haven't smoked pot in 2-3 days (as in NOT SMOKED, not just smoked a bowl or two) and i feel way less spaced out, and today when i got bored instead of smoking pot i went and applied at three places and even re-strung an old guitar

dude I sat at home for 2 years smoking 4-5 times a day and didn't work or go to school, so look on the bright side of things you're still in school. Small University towns usually are the worst places to find jobs so I feel your pain, I'm on work study and it sucks sometimes. I find it weird to work for my teachers at times, especially when working for my department you become involved in their drama, it's fucking gay shit.

Do what Jerome said smoke less and find things to do that make you feel like you do something, regardless of how insignificant they may seem it helps keep you motivated. Pick up an instrument, do an extra course, volunteer, get physically active or anything that makes you feel like your life isn't just sitting at home smoking weed.

I live on east orlando (the college side, the no job side)

all the jobs available are in west orlando (I don't live here, and gas is too crazy to afford so money is already tight for rent and shit which I really dont have either...the money that is.)

You know whats a fun job? Be a driver. Get a public service license, which is like 15 bucks, and drive people around in a Limo, Cadillac, Escalade, etc. Its wedding season too which means there is plenty of work, and lots of old fuks in Orlando that would pay you to drive them to the airport and shit. The work doesnt get any easier, and you see some pretty wild shit driving a limo. Ive made as little as $50 in a day, and as much as $1500...And I got to drive Smokey Robinson once. I'm thinkin about getting back into it part time.
