Rock band 2/Guitar hero 4

So the Rockband 2 setlist has been released to the public. The game is scheduled to be released Late Septemeber (360) and mid November (PS2, WII, PS3)

Some good tracks on that bad boy, 75 of the non-bonus ones.

And although old equipement can still work, they have upgraded the drums to this bad boy.




Guitar hs pretty much the same, except has the sunburst look to it rather then the traditional black color.

Now, onto Guitar Hero 4. Comes out all systems on in late October and will include a Microphone and Drums, comparable to Rock Band. Here's the new lookski:



You can create custom songs (minus vocals for copyright reasons) and using the lower fret buttons can change certain effects and sounds of the guitar for the custum mode. (I'd imagine probably using it for hammer ons and what not for solo game play kind of like Rock Band Guitars)

This, like Rock Band, will have a create-a-rocker type mode so you're not just using the old school characters and shit. Wikipedia has some songs that are going to be on it, but no list like Rock bands has came out yet. Although, I'd imagine since the game is going to be released before Rock band, it will be released soemtime in the near future, in attempts to promote it better for the surge of sales pre-rockband release.

I just think its funny to bring a mic and a drumset, why not just go out and make a band and train on that? What is the next thing, saxofon, piano and a bass? Though I think you can actually learn something by playing the drums on rockband.

I like the rockband guitar, look alot better then the guitar that guitarhero 3 has. Too bad my friend's Xbox360 signed off from this world. So stupid of microsoft, making a faulty Xbox360.. (Or was it on purpose?) -_- was nice playing guitarhero 3 and halo 3 while it lasted.

Good point! The more people, the more fun. And yeah, you really can't start playing at 4am in some garage or some other place.

Offtopic:
I guess I was only thinking about how these days everything is put into console/pc games.. just take Wii fit for an example, whats up with that! It is like everything needs to happend inside, infront of a screen.

i see why guitar hero's adding a mic and drums to compete with rock band, but i think they took their R&D in the wrong direction. Instead of making what will probablly be sub-Rock band quality "instruments" they should have focused on securing the "hit" songs that people want to hear and play. I get pissed when playing guitar hero and not getting to play certain artists or famous songs, and I think that if they spent the time and money on getting those artists on board, it would make the game worth buying In addition to a Rock Band type game. Whereas now I would just pick one or the other, and since rock band's already had a go at the instruments and patterns, they'll probably have a leg up on guitar hero as far as how well the non-guitar instruments perform.

Playing the game doesn't mean shit. I play GTA-- Doesn't mean I go around jacking cars and killing people. I play guitar, can somewhat sing, and fuck around with my sister's drumset all the time... Doesn't mean the game isn't a fucking hell-of-a-fun party game and hella fun. It's not about being poseurs, it's about having fun.

I'm sick of I-can-play-an-instrument-and-upset-about-nerds-playing-these-games-thinking-they're-awesome.

PS I agree that the setlist is pretty good, with a lot more songs then mentioned (although a lot of the songs seem really hard to sing)
