Dead Cat found in DRIVEWAY

So here is my predicament... I came home from the gas station, walk towards my front door, and there is a fucking cat laying dead, drooling on my driveway. Ive already acted on it, but I'd like to share with you my original thoughts and see what some of you may have done....My initial thoughts....

A ) Wake up my neighbors at 1AM to tell them their cat is dead
B ) Get the cat in a garbage bag and tell the neighbors tomorrow
c ) Leave it for other animals to eat, and tell the neighbors tomorrow
D ) List the cat on ebay, and tell the neighbors tomorrow

Keep it mind, I have no idea how this cat died, wasn't next to the street or bloodied up in any way shape or form, but fresh enough to still have drool coming out of its mouth. Discuss

i think a wakeup is a bad move... they're gonna be sad, why make them sad their cat died and pissed from getting awoken so early. putting it in a bag could be disrespectful... personally, i would put a towel or something over it.


actually, i think i might pick it up and put it near their front door. i mean, really... they might think you ran over it or something and hate you for it. if they find it outside their house in the morning before church or work or whatever they do sunday morning, they wouldn't really think there was any foul play or anything.. you wouldn't have to break the news, and there's no possibility of any anger towards you.

If you ran it over, I would do the first thing I said... But if not, the latter would be more sensible in my opinion.

Well all I did was bag the thing, and threw it away, but now Im thinking I should go bury it, because its so fucking hot here, this thing is going to REEK by the end of the day

Of course I did epi. I put it in a garbage bag, and put it behind the house in case they wanted to bury it or something. Still don't even know what happened to this thing. Thinking about informing animal control or something for abuse and/or neglect. This thing wasnt hit by a car, or attacked by another animal, nor was it old, it just died. Either way, my neighbors don't even want it, so I'm stuck with their dead cat in my garbage until Thursday when the garbage is picked up. Fuckers.

Dont call them unless you're really sure of that and can prove it. Odds are the cat just got poisoned (deliberately or not, who knows).
