Its got the CVT (Continuously Variating Transmission) Im not sure I even said that right, but it gets the point across. Anyways, its the same type of transmission that the Dodge Charger/Challenger have that when you reach cruising speeds it shuts off 4 cylinders to improve fuel economy, and turns them back on again for acceleration, its really cool.

If you're driving a Camaro, Mustang, or Charger, you probably have enough money so that fuel economy isn't of great concern to you. You would save a great ton of money and fuel by getting something like a compact Civic or Corolla.

It's more about being fun to drive, imo. Besides, a V8 Mustang isn't so expensive at all... 25k is the msrp I believe? I guess some people put practicality over everything else.

I wonder how the currently-new LS3 does in the new camaro, however. The 08 corvettes really hauls with that engine... even though there's an extra 30hp over the old LS2 engine on paper, it feels like there's a lot more.

ITS gm, AN AMERICAN COMPANY, THEREFORE ITS AN AMERICAN CAR.

WHERE IT WAS DESIGNED AND WHERE IT WAS ASSEMBLED HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH MARKET VALUE, ITS STILL GM PARTS.

The first thing I thought of looks-wise was the GTR. As usual, though, the Japanese have done a better job. :fear:

                      Edit: on further inspection, no

                          1) the concept looked better
                          2) CVT is a POS.

personally, I think the dodge charger and challenger are better looking.

                              You're mixing up 2 concepts.

DOD (Displacement on Demand) is where you have an engine that can shut down cylinders.

the CVT is a new type of transmission that doesn't require shifting - it has no gears.
