I bought them too! They are an absolut unnecessarity, i love it. And its true, after 5 minutes they are just expensive shoes! Granted, they are comfortable at that. However if you walk a long time on road you start to seriously miss some damping.

I'm looking into getting a pair of customized Nike ID Air Max 360s, though they may be too flashy for me. Also considering getting a pair of Nike Air Dunk Lows.

On a day-to-day basis, I tend to wear Adidas Superstars (3G?) for casual shoes. I have a pair of NB Zips (I think from when they first came out) and some pair of Adidas I got at costco (held up great so far!) for running. I have two pairs of Adidas Sambas, the standard white stripes on black and the less common grey stripes on white, which I primarily use for indoor soccer. I also have a retro pair of navy on navy New Balance shoes, a pair of Adidas that look like skateboarding? shoes (with the old logo on black on the side of an all-white shoe), and some other stuff I can't think of. Of yeah, a pair of slip-on Adidas without laces (I forget what brand makes shoes very similar to this).

Also, I wear a pair of Naot a lot- I picked these up while I was in Israel. They are essentially the Israeli version of Birkenstock- I think they are just narrower. Needed a pair because for whatever reason, someone stole my broken in Birkenstocks when there were like 20 people pregaming in my room.

Unrealistic, I was never a fan of the Stan Smiths because for some reason I don't like green stripes on white (if we're thinking of the same pair of shoes).

edit: oh and money. I bought a pair of bathing apes when I was in China. They are pretty funny and stands out (here) but not really nice or cool

i have never been extremely fond of bathing apes, they're too flashy for me. i don't have too many pairs of shoes, i've got 3 other pairs one of which is way too small now because i put them in the washer and they shrunk. the other pair i wear fairly often is a pair of nike mids, they're chocolate with light blue swoosh n etc. i couldn't find a picture but they're from the negro league baseball edition.

To get back on track in regards to the shoe conversation. I happened to be in the city this weekend and stopped in at City Sports to try on a pair of the "Vibram Five Finger" shoes. I was amazed at the comfort of these as well as the overall stability for the foot itself. I ended up purchasing a pair of what they call the "Flow" model. Considering that my Teva's are just about dead & I walked out of the store with these on. What a difference in overall comfort as I ended up trekking around the city during the evening. I wouldn't have even considered these if it had not been for the post on this forum by Fluffz...so thank you! Check them out if you get a chance.
