so, Wolverine is pretty much immortal right? his special ability is to reform himself. he can lose an arm and it'll grow back. he had an atomic bomb dropped on him, and because one cell lived, he regrew from it.

later on, his entire adamantium skeleton was removed from him by magneto and he's now stronger than ever. he is lighter, quicker and more powerful with his original mutant skeleton.... by the way... dayum, i wish i could have seen that in one of the movies.

so what would happen if you were to split him in half? would you get two wolverines?

Wolverine was rebonded with the adamantium by Apocalypse when he became Death of the four horsemen.

And he's not quite immortal. There are ways he can die permanently. A recent issue explored the subject with Wolverine explaining the different ways he can be killed and not heal from it.

There's a substance called carbonadium, a variant of adamantium, that is radioactive and can negate his healing factor. Wolverine used a sword made out of it to kill Sabretooth and then he gave it to Cyclops to use on himself if he ever went completely berzerk and needed to be put down.

A lot of the other ways involve being placed in situations where if he were to heal, he'd just keep dying again. Wolverine can be burned alive in a volcano, for example. The magma would burn off any part of him faster than he can regrow it.
