They got together about 2-3 years ago, and already back then some of our mutual friends told me that they didn't like her. Back then I liked her because she was nicer to me than to his other friends, but now I know her much better. The only ones that really likes her now is him and his family. Even the parents of my friends dislikes her, and she's the only person that isn't allowed to come to the parties we have at Retard's parent's place. Untill they got engaged a few days ago we always had a hope that something would fuck up and that they'd split up. I've kept up a front and I'm nice to her as much as I can. She's to arrogant to think that anyone dislikes her anyway.
Now that they are engaged it isn't that easy to split them up anymore. He was the one that proposed to her, even after he told us that they weren't doing great about half a year ago. It took some heavy drinking of just the three of us best friends for him to admit it (Superman, Retard and Whipped (Superman always comes first)).
I'm split on what to do here. Either I can keep trying to help Whipped realize that he is doing the biggest mistake of his life, or I have to accept that this is his choise. If I do the last one then the friend I had a few years ago will be gone forever. I'm scared of overdoing it and losing a very good friend in the process, but then again I'll lose him in another way if they get married. What would you guys do?
