"In an announcement, the campaign said that Palin, who has been governor less than two years, "has the record of reform and bipartisanship that others can only speak of.""

Mixed quality pick. Pro: she has TWO X chromosomes. Con: she undermines McCain as the 'experience ticket' since she has even less experience than Obama does.
actually i just found out her youngest born kid has down syndrome. When asked if she wanted to terminate the abortion she replied "No, what does 1 chromosome make"
Honestly a respectable woman.

He helps himself and fucks himself at the same time. Let me explain. He will get some of the Clinton Supporters to come to his side. However, she really dosen't have that much expiercence. Hopefully Democrats see this for what it is, a cunning ploy to steal votes...
It's an interesting counter to the Biden pick, as both running mates seem to contrast their presidential nominee's perceived shortcomings. This may appeal to mainstream voters and disillusioned Hillary Clintonites but might alienate some of the GOP's right-leaning supporters.
Besides the fact she's a woman, has an Alaskan ever been on the ticket?
Biden was picked for his experience and leadership. I think the Republicans have done themselves a disservice by choosing their VP nominee based on how it will effect a particular voting bloc.
Edit: But she can't be any worse then Lieberman or Dick... right?
Hopefully this will totally alienate the conservative wing of the Republican Party even more to the point where they just won't show up at the polls. I mean, a 72 year-old and some cunt that hasn't done shit on the ticket? One's probably going to die or get more fucking senile and the other was genetically born senile. Obama has this shit on lockdown.
And now: my sober and inoffensive post (though I stand by my other one still)
This move signals further entrenchment into the direction that the McCain campaign has been taking in recent weeks (in continuation of Hillary's trajectory) which is that of grasping at straws. The American people (Republican and Democrat alike) can sense the desperation in a move like this, especially on the heels of the "Barack is Paris Hilton celebrity" type of slight. Make no mistake, the McCain campaign is reeling. Whatever you think about Obama, he's run a vicious, timely, and effective campaign and McCain has been playing catch-up since day 1.
Obama does indeed have this shit on lockdown. Any Hillary supporter that would vote republican just because 1) Palin is a woman and 2) Hillary lost is a really sore loser. Can't take their own egos out of it ("Hillary lost so I lost too, well screw you Obama"). Couldn't believe that shit when I saw it on the Daily Show.
