SS on consoles...

after hearing about some players in ss who use a controller instead of a keyboard to play ss...i realized it shouldnt be hard to transfer SS to a downloadable content via the PS3 network and XBOX live for 10 bucks or so... with the permission of priitk ofcourse, but im sure if hes payed by someone similar to ignite, he would hand it over to the big dogs, at least i would.

considering what games they release already on these systems(downloadable games such as "everyday shooter" on the psn and "castle crashers" or whatever its called for xbl), SS really isnt much different and im pretty sure it would become addicting for everyone once they try it, ultimately solving the population problem...and i can already see it be #1 most downloaded game on either system. With the money these companies have, commercializing it wouldnt be a problem, and through websites such as gamespot, ign, and their gaming reviews, im sure SS would score a solid 8 or more. Not to mention the accesibility of internet browser to check the rankings and such through these next gen systems...it really is a well suited game for this kind of thing.

Im sure they will release keyboards for these systems in the near future if their not out already so i really dont see any difference in playing on a console or PC...

so pretty much, getting someone important to get interested in this game and pushing it to the PSN and XBL would be the perfect outcome of a game run for more then a decade...

it certainly has the credibility and a rich past that would drive players to play it, considering its been alive that long with such simple gaming tactics...

i guess im talkin out of my ass since im bored in school waiting for class to start but...

if i could propose a question out of all this, it would be something among these words:

Is there a way to contact the "important" people in todays gaming businesses or arrange a meeting between priitk and whoever else to come to an agreement to such a decision?

and

What do you think of this idea? Would it destroy the SS we know today or make it even better?

im sure if this was to happen, they would introduce some new fresh ideas to an already perfected simple 2d game, but i would definetly sacrafice minor things for this game to go on...

it would definitley up the population, but at the expense of losing all creative control over the game. not to mention it's probably illegal anyway to sell something you copied from a defunct company. Also, some ppl would be paying to play while others played on computers. I don't see how they could play against each other; i think it would be consols vs consols and pcs vs pcs.

Population

Royce at least was thinking outside the box on this. Interesting idea Royce, Ive seen those new consoles. I tend to agree with Dank Nuggets on this one though. It's always been a free game that has run off 100% contributions from the player community. I find that so cool... Big business would swallow and spit us out.

As far as population is concerned. We should urge people to make as many links / forums as possible to bring new folks on over. There is already a fair amount of trench wars links out there. Schfifty and I were talking months ago 1 day about the population and were all hype on this G4 gaming review company..They have a TV show and a pretty huge site. It was made in March and not one person ever replied lol. But the forum is there and we could start it up and try and draw some attention. A review from G4TV would be golden. We really do have some real history in this game. One of the first Massive Multi Player games Ever on the net... Still going 15 or w/e years later.. That alone makes us special. Anyways my 2 cents..
