This isn't the distant future, but this movie looks fucking nuts.

      http://www.apple.com/trailers/indepe...westerndjango/

I love a lot of Takashi Miike's other works like Audition and Ichi and I'm a total mindless zombie that'll go to anything involving Quentin Tarantino.

But other stuff would be the new Fast and Furious, Body of Lies, Punisher: War Zone, Quarantine, and when I checked out Jango I saw this trailer for "the International" That looked pretty fun too.

I thought Sin City was great, but after seeing the previews for the Watchmen I'm less than convinced it will be a good movie.

What does Sin City have to do with Watchmen?

It's pretty interesting ... I watched the opening scene (which was pretty badass) a few weeks back and will have to finish it after I have some time.

sucked. Brad Pitt was the only redeeming quality.

Stayon> That type of thing, when you're married for 50 years but you know you fucked up when you dropped chilli sause on your elitist rich boss, while crossing the cafeteria's lunch zone, getting you fired, because you were distracted admiring the cleaning lady's ass that you beated off to, when your sluggish wife and two retarted kids were asleep.

I just realized the voice of Solid Snake co-wrote the screenplay for Watchmen.

Frank Miller wrote both of them. And AFAIK, they're being put on film in the same style (mixed black-and-white animated graphics and live action).

Burn After Reading: I agree that Brad Pitt was the bright spot in this movie. However, I thought John Malkovich played a pretty funny (albeit simple) character. And the two scenes with JK Simmons as the CIA chief and that other guy made me laugh out loud. Everything else was pretty...bleh.

Watchmen: The two bookstores I frequent have this slapped all over their "featured" displays now. Have considered picking it up a couple times, but haven't. Has anyone read this?

The Road: After No County For Old Men, it's no surprise Hollywood now seems to have a boner for Cormac McCarthy books. I liked the book and I like Viggo Mortensen (sp?), so hopefully this one turns out alright.
PLEASE, DON'T BE MISGUIDED...YA BITIN'. AND I'MA HAVE TA DIS YA, UNDERSTAND MISTA?

Agreed, John Malkovich made his insane character believable and JK Simmons was hillarious. I stand with my original statement that the movie sucked though.

You must read it. It still goes down as one of my favorite books of all time. And I don't just mean comics.

holy fuck jk simmons was hilarious. by far the best part of the movie. i enjoyed it but didn't love it. also: nick and nora's endless playlist!!! "where are you?" "i see jesus!" "who?" "jesus! he's much taller in person..." ahahahah oh man i am going to go there and slip so many 17 year old girls wearing scarves roofies and then fingerfuck the shit out of their cooches once they pass out. then i'll probably wipe my fingers on my pants and once i get home my dogs will lick the shit out of my pants and probably eat holes in them. then i'll have holes in my fucking pants.

                              much love for michael cera.
