i dont think many Christians were bidding on that.. More likely it was occultists or anti-christians who thought the notion of 'Jesus on toast' was too good to pass up.

I looked up many reports of Jesus...and not to leave out Mary, that have been seen on photo's, ultrasounds, the grain in a door, food items and so on...oddly though that most of these people are very religious people or are Christian and not as you say "occultists or anti-Christians". I still have not heard of anyone finding Moses in a piece of toast, garage door or anything odd like that. Not even a glimpse on a piece of Matzo after all these years! Only seems to be Jesus or Mary and we know that for a fact as there are Polaroid photos of what they look like in the Smithsonian! Just f'n amazes me.

As an agnostic I personally could care less of any image on an item. I don't look for it and I could care less if I saw it. I would surmise that the people that find such possessions and then keep or sell them are explicitly looking for some type of religious salvation or an answer to something that they most likely are having a hard time coping with in their daily strife.
