You're absolutely right, but it's the TW forums, what did you expect?

Besides, there's nothing wrong with taking a little pride in where you live. I take it that most people are smart and mature enough to know that threads like these are very sensitive to brag contests and that truths can be a little distorted, but while having that knowledge in the back of your mind this thread can still deliver some good eye candy, no matter how right or wrong they are.

I feel like it's my duty to inform the misinformed people here in the Netherlands. Everyone seems to think that Almere is a troubled city that lacks a "soul" for being so young and being a rather extreme example of modern city planning, but people shouldn't judge when they've never been or lived here. That's why I was seriously appauled by the fact that people chose this as the ugliest city in a recent "contest", because most of them had no idea what they were voting for!

Charleroi was chosen as ugliest Belgian city by the way
