You do realize some of the points 404 make, show Mccain as against bush before pre-8yearsofhell (probably has something do with the fact that Mccain wanted to run for president for a long time now, I'm sure he tried to get onto the ticket, but Bush was like Bitch nah) and now some/most of his points are pro-bush?

I don't know about you, but I rather take the unexpected dog shit from obama than the expected horse shit from Mcinsane.

McCain has lived the middle class life for a while before getting into politics. He was an officer when he became a POW. After his military career is when he got into politics. He has been a middle class citizen. He wasnt spoiled (like GW) and given everything his whole life, and his experiences make him the best candidate imo. You can agree with it or not, but thats what a lot of people I talk to and myself think

His father was an admiral, how does that make him just a normal guy? There's also the fact that he was accused of setting off a missle on an aircraft carrier thus killing 160ish American soldiers because he was being a flashy jackass. Nice credentials

What bothers me is that she's a middle class American who's going to vote against herself, vote however you want but you're a fucking moron if you're going to vote against someone who plans on helping you. It's also hilarious to call Mccain the lesser of the two evils, it shows no real understanding of the candidates or the issues at hand.

Shit bricks like yourself don't even understand why American politics influences Canadian politics, lord knows if you know anything about Canada or our relationship with the US. I really can't expect you to understand why things that happen in America affect Canada, and vice versa. I'd let 404 educate you on Canada and America's relationship, it'd be best to leave it up to someone who a) has more experience living in the north and b) isn't a fucking retard. It's inbred swine like Exalt, Wark, and yourself that talk so much shit about the Democratic party as well profess outrageous claims about Obama, yet you have shown zero proof to back up anything you've ever said, ever

Here's the real question, does it bother you that I know more about your country than you do, or does it really bother you that a Canadian has to explain American politics to you?

The board of a nonprofit organization on which Sen. Barack Obama served as a paid director alongside a confessed domestic terrorist granted funding to a controversial Arab group that mourns the establishment of Israel as a "catastrophe" and supports intense immigration reform, including providing drivers licenses and education to illegal aliens.

The co-founder of the Arab group in question, Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi, also has held a fundraiser for Obama. Khalidi is a harsh critic of Israel, has made statements supportive of Palestinian terror and reportedly has worked on behalf of the Palestine Liberation Organization while it was involved in anti-Western terrorism and was labeled by the State Department as a terror group.

                    -----------------------

But their company, Rezmar Corp., did come up with $1,000 to give to the political campaign fund of Barack Obama, the newly elected state senator whose district included the unheated building.

Obama has been friends with Rezko for 17 years. Rezko has been a political patron to Obama and many others, helping to raise millions of dollars for them through his own contributions and by hosting fund-raisers in his home.

Obama, who has worked as a lawyer and a legislator to improve living conditions for the poor, took campaign donations from Rezko even as Rezko's low-income housing empire was collapsing, leaving many African-American families in buildings riddled with problems -- including squalid living conditions, vacant apartments, lack of heat, squatters and drug dealers.

The building in Englewood was one of 30 Rezmar rehabbed in a series of troubled deals largely financed by taxpayers. Every project ran into financial difficulty. More than half went into foreclosure, a Chicago Sun-Times investigation has found.

"Their buildings were falling apart,'' said a former city official. "They just didn't pay attention to the condition of these buildings.''

Eleven of Rezko's buildings were in Obama's state Senate district.

Obama, now a U.S. senator running for president, has come under fire over his friendship with Rezko, who was charged last fall with demanding kickbacks on state business deals under Gov. Blagojevich.

Much of the criticism has centered on two real estate deals involving Obama's South Side mansion. In the first, Obama paid $300,000 less than the asking price for a doctor's home, while Rezko's wife paid the doctor full price for the vacant lot next door. Then -- a few months before Rezko was indicted -- Obama bought part of that lot from Rezko's wife.

But Obama's ties with Rezko go beyond those two real estate sales and the political support, the Sun-Times found. Obama was an attorney with a small Chicago law firm -- Davis Miner Barnhill & Galland -- that helped Rezmar get more than $43 million in government funding to rehab 15 of their 30 apartment buildings for the poor.

                    ----------------

After days of largely ignoring the media blitz his former pastor has waged, Barack Obama reversed course and denounced the Rev. Jeremiah Wright in the strongest and most direct terms yet on Tuesday. It was a decision that may help him reclaim some of the initiative in a tight presidential primary contest, but it is not without risks.

The decision to specifically address Wright’s controversial statements came after the campaign maintained for days that Obama had said all he had to say on the subject - a sign that there has been growing concern that the controversy was damaging his candidacy. The result was not just a denunciation of Wright’s comments, but of the man who attracted Obama into the Trinity United Church of Christ, married him and baptized his children.

The turning point was Wright’s combative appearance in Washington yesterday at the national press club, where he stood by the comments he has claimed were taken out of context in press accounts over the past months. Wright maintained that the U.S. government was capable of acts of horror such as spreading AIDS through the black community, accused the government of committing terrorism abroad and called criticisms of such remarks an attack on the “black church.”

                    -------------------

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Jr. of Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ, and Barack Obama's pastor since 1988, told his congregation in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001, "The Day of Jerusalem's Fall," that U.S. terrorism had precipitated Al-Qaeda's attack. "We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye. We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards." Wright concluded that "America's chickens are coming home to roost."

                    -----------------

This, though, is not Farrakhan's dream. He has vilified whites and singled out Jews to blame for crimes large and small, either committed by others as well or not at all. (A dominant role in the slave trade, for instance.) He has talked of Jewish conspiracies to set a media line for the whole nation. He has reviled Jews in a manner that brings Hitler to mind.

And yet Wright heaped praise on Farrakhan. According to Trumpet, he applauded his "depth of analysis when it comes to the racial ills of this nation." He praised "his integrity and honesty." He called him "an unforgettable force, a catalyst for change and a religious leader who is sincere about his faith and his purpose." These are the words of a man who prayed with Obama just before the Illinois senator announced his run for the presidency. Will he pray with him just before his inaugural?

                    -------------

“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.” - Obama

                    -------------

Wright, however, did not come under fire for comments made about discrimination or inequalities between blacks and whites. He was criticized for saying the United States deserved to be attacked on 9/11, that God should not bless America but damn it. And he referred to the United States in one sermon as the "United States of KKK-A."

                    ------------

                    Here's the transcript:

There are things you can do individually, though, to save energy. Making sure your tires are properly inflated — simple thing. But we could save all the oil that they’re talking about getting off drilling — if everybody was just inflating their tires? And getting regular tune-ups? You’d actually save just as much! - Obama

                    --------------

Pitching his message to Oregon’s environmentally-conscious voters, Obama called on the United States to “lead by example” on global warming, and develop new technologies at home which could be exported to developing countries.

“We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,” Obama said.

“That’s not leadership. That’s not going to happen,” he added.

                    --------------

Yeah, great president with great values, morals, and ideas to run America. Cops I love how you try to insult Izor, Exalt, and myself, when both Izor and Exalt both serve in the United State's Army. I don't serve, but I am middle class America, and I think that I have a little better grasp on the situation than some "LOL COME GET STONED" Canadian liberal.

From what I saw of the people at the democratic national convention, if that is the "people" in your town look like, then I feel sorry for you.

Anyways, I have already proved that McCain's policy works.

                        Conservatism works.

If you want to understand this, just search for Jimmy Carter, and after that search for Ronald Reagan.

Everyone says that John McCain is just George Bush's third term, but shit man, I would rather see him for a third term than Jimmy Carter again, I of course am too young to remember, but my parents told me about gas lines, and the economy in shambles MUCH worse than it is today. Especially when America's GNP is actually growing each year, and if your thanking god that gas just dropped 60 cents in the last two months, then you should thank Bush for removing the executive ban on drilling for oil.

Why go that far back when we have such a good example of how effective it really is in Bush? And I hope you're aware that there were thousands and thousands of people from all over the nation here, not just people who live in Denver.

So tell me, in Colorado, what has been so bad about your life in Colorado?

What policies of Obama do you support, which will make this country better?

Do you think taxing anyone who makes 250,000 dollars or more at a higher rate will make things better? When business owners, companies, and small business owners have less money because they are paying more in taxes, they will pass the cost along to the consumers, and if that fails, they will have to fire people. When people are fired, there are less people to buy the products in the first place. Raising on taxes on the people who provide the jobs for Americans just furthers to destroy the economy not to help mend it.

Do you think taxing oil companies will work? When you tax an oil company, you make them less likely to trade in your country, like what happened under Jimmy Carter (by doing what Obama plans on doing) oil companies decide hey.. lets sell our oil to companies that don't want to tax us so highly and make more money for doing so, So they sold the oil to other countries which made America.. have a shortage in gas wow.

The point is you don't understand simple economics, and you even seem to agree with me that the people at the DNC looked like the homeless people that your city was supposed to buy movie tickets for. That is because, those people are the dregs of society, the useless, the people who rely on people like me to pay for their welfare.

Have you ever thought that there are more important things in our lives than stupid issues such as abortion and gay marriage? I've said numerous times on here that I am pro choice, but that doesnt even factor in to me. Does anyone really whine about gay marriage? Its just something for normal people to make fun of. Foreign policy is what I base my vote off of, and clearly McCain is much stronger there. Economy comes a close second. McCain would drill here, and lower the price of oil. When the price of oil goes down, the rest of the economy would naturally improve. Thats just simple economics. He is also against the idea of universal healthcare, which so many americans (and most of these forums) seem to be for. The problem with this is that other countries dont have the same amount of illegals that dont pay taxes that we would have to deal with. No one here seems to understand that, and ultimately you would end up paying for it anyway. Just fucking buy health insurance. And, on top of this, republicans always give me a better pay raise
